Fedorov discussed accelerating the delivery of missiles with the manufacturer of the IRIS systems
During their meeting, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Helmut Rauch, CEO of the German company Diehl Defence, agreed on steps to increase the number of missiles for the IRIS-T systems. The parties focused on strengthening multi-layered air defense and developing new missile projects for F-16 fighter jets.

Special attention was paid during the meeting to the supply of extended-range munitions with the support of the European Union and the improvement of anti-ballistic defense. The possibilities of testing new technological solutions in the field of radar directly in Ukraine were also discussed. Fedorov emphasized that IRIS-T systems have already proven their high effectiveness in combat conditions against Russian attacks.
The head of the defense ministry thanked the German company for its willingness to expand cooperation in critically important defense areas. According to him, this systematic work not only strengthens the protection of Ukraine’s airspace but also bolsters Europe’s overall security. Deepening the partnership with Diehl Defence is a priority for ensuring a stable supply of weapons and air defense systems.
Following the Russian attack, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had instructed the Air Force commander to contact partners who had previously promised to provide missiles for the Patriot systems.
