Another member of Energoatom's supervisory board has resigned

Bris Boyon and Patrick Fragman, independent members of the supervisory board of the joint-stock company “Energoatom,” have officially submitted their resignations from their posts.

This was announced by Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

According to him, the main reason for this decision was excessive workload, as the process of corporate transformation of the state-owned enterprise requires foreign specialists to be virtually fully occupied.

The head of the relevant ministry categorically denied rumors circulating in the media that top managers are leaving the strategic company due to financial disputes or delayed payments.

The actual scope of tasks involved in reforming the energy giant significantly exceeded the initial estimates of international experts. One of the officials has already found a new job, which does not allow him to combine his duties in Ukraine.

“It’s not about the salary. Patrick Fragman has found a new full-time job, and that’s the main reason. Launching Energoatom’s supervisory board is taking much longer than they had planned. In fact, they are often working full-time,” he says.

Despite having legally submitted their resignations, Brice Boyon and Patrick Fragman continue to temporarily perform their immediate duties.

This ensures stability and continuity in the company’s strategic management during the transition period.

Currently, the Ukrainian government has already formed a pool of about ten potential candidates, and official interviews to fill the vacant positions will begin shortly.
