Sibiga and Sikorski discussed the threat to food security posed by Russia's attacks in the Black Sea
The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Andriy Sibiga and Radosław Sikorski, discussed Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities and civilian vessels in the Black Sea. The two sides emphasized the need to increase pressure on Russia due to its actions, which pose a threat to regional and global food security.
The head of the Ukrainian ministry emphasized that he “had a good conversation with his Polish friend” Radosław Sikorski.
“We discussed Russia’s intensifying attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea and the consequences of this terror for global food security. We also spoke about Ukraine’s path to the EU. I thanked Radek for Poland’s support in opening Clusters 1 and 6. We both welcomed the adoption of the 21st package of sanctions against Russia—a decision we have been waiting for so long,” Sibiga noted.
He briefed Sikorski on Russia’s latest large-scale attack on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
“We focused on the urgent need to further intensify pressure on Russia. I expressed our gratitude to Poland for its support of Ukraine from the very first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion,” Sibiga wrote.
