In Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast, law enforcement officials launched an investigation after a video surfaced on social media showing a man being beaten by unknown individuals. The police have logged the incident and are working to establish all the circumstances surrounding it.
Law enforcement officials in the Kyiv region have launched an investigation into threats and the beating of a man in Bila Tserkva. The police learned of the incident while monitoring social media.
“Law enforcement officers discovered information about the incident while monitoring social media. Specifically, a post was shared on one of the local Telegram channels containing a video showing unlawful actions by unknown individuals against a man sitting on a bench. At the same time, one of the participants in the incident was independently filming the unlawful actions using a mobile device,” the police statement reads.
The incident was recorded in the Unified Register of Reports and Notifications of Criminal Offenses and Other Incidents of the Bila Tserkva District Police Department.
Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident and identifying those involved.
