The Ministry of Defense has updated the procedure for extending deferrals for parents of children with disabilities
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has changed the procedure for verifying data to automatically extend the deferral from mobilization for parents of children with disabilities under the age of 18. From now on, the system verifies information based on the child’s most recent birth certificate and, if available, the child’s taxpayer identification number (RNOKPP).
The ministry explained that the new algorithm is intended to improve the accuracy of information verification in state registries. To this end, data from the State Register of Civil Status Acts (DRACS) is used.
If the deferment was not automatically extended, the Ministry of Defense advises checking whether the information on the most recent birth certificate matches in the “Diya” app and the Unified Information System for the Social Sphere (UISS).
If the child’s birth record does not appear in “Diya” or contains errors, you must contact a DRACS office. In case of discrepancies in the UISS, you can update the information at a branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
After making changes to the state registries, users can resubmit a request for a deferral through the “Reserve+” app.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that currently, over 90% of active deferrals are automatically extended. If the grounds for the deferral remain valid and are confirmed by state registries, there is no need to resubmit an application or documents.

As a reminder, young men born in 2009 can register for military service remotely via the “Reserve+” app until July 31. After this date, it will no longer be possible to complete the procedure online.
An electronic military registration document has been added to the “Army+” app, allowing servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the State Special Transport Service (SSTS) to quickly confirm their status using a smartphone.
