Zelenskyy Responded to Mendel's Statements in an Interview with Carlson

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented for the first time on the statements made by his former press secretary, Yulia Mendel, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. The head of state gave his response in an interview with American blogger Laura Loomer.

During the conversation, Lumer mentioned Mendel’s allegations regarding Zelenskyy’s alleged involvement in money laundering, the deterioration of relations with the U.S., as well as claims circulating on social media that he allegedly used cocaine alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.

The president categorically rejected these allegations.

“Of course not, never,” Zelenskyy replied when asked about the alleged drug use.

Commenting on Mendel’s interview with Tucker Carlson, he stated that he had not watched it.

“There are many people—various hosts, bloggers… Some of them are good, others are too harsh, some are popular… There are all kinds of people. But there are smart people and there are not-so-smart people. As for me, I watch smart people, and I never watch the unwise ones, because it doesn’t help. So I haven’t watched any of Tucker Carlson’s interviews with anyone,” the president said.

As a reminder, Yulia Mendel previously made a series of accusations against the Ukrainian president in an interview with Tucker Carlson, which caused a widespread stir.

Mendel’s revelations about Zelenskyy: personal vendetta or betrayal of Ukraine.
