President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with military leaders, during which they discussed the situation on the front lines and measures in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure. Following the meeting, a clear plan of action was established.
The meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatiy, Acting Minister of Defense Yevhen Khmara, and Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa. According to Zelenskyy, special attention was paid to the protection of border and frontline regions, Kyiv, the Kyiv region, the Odesa region, and the maritime corridor.
The President stated that the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense, intelligence agencies, and other government bodies have received a clear list of measures for immediate implementation. Khmara has also been tasked with ensuring that the requests of corps commanders are fulfilled, while Palisa will coordinate the relevant efforts.
Separately, the meeting participants outlined Ukraine’s next steps in the Black Sea. According to Zelenskyy, the government, together with diplomats and relevant ministries, will prepare measures to protect the economy and ensure the safety of maritime navigation.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days. The new term begins on August 2, so both measures will remain in effect at least until October 31, 2026.
