Sadovyi Cited the Reason for the Conflict with the TCC in Lviv
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi stated that the large-scale conflict between civilians and TCC employees in the Sykhiv district was provoked by the spread of false information on anonymous Telegram channels and social media.
According to the mayor, reports initially circulated online about the alleged arrest of a 20-year-old man. It later turned out that the individual in question was actually a 30-year-old man who was wanted by the police, but this information did not receive as much attention.
Sadovyi also commended the actions of law enforcement officers, emphasizing that thanks to their work, more serious consequences were averted. He noted that several police officers and TCC personnel sustained injuries during the clashes, but their lives are not in danger.
The mayor of Lviv added that Russian propaganda had actively exploited the incident and expressed the view that approaches to mobilization need to be revised and public trust restored.
