Sibiga condemned the Russian propaganda attacks on the Italian prime minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga has officially expressed solidarity with the Italian government over the offensive remarks made by Russian propagandists against Giorgia Meloni.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that such actions by the Kremlin constitute a direct attack on the democratic institutions of the entire free world.
According to the minister, the behavior of the aggressor country’s media outlets once again confirms the cynical nature of the current Russian regime.
Such statements demonstrate a complete lack of respect for human dignity and international norms of etiquette on the part of Moscow-controlled entities.
The Ukrainian side views these attacks as a reaction to Rome’s principled stance in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty.
Andriy Sybiga emphasized that the Russian Federation’s aggressive rhetoric is evidence of its powerlessness in the face of the solidarity of states defending European values and international law.
“Russian propaganda, which is entirely controlled by the current criminal regime, has once again revealed its true face—aggressive, cynical, and devoid of respect for human dignity and democratic institutions. Therefore, such offensive and unacceptable statements are not only personal attacks but also evidence of the Russian regime’s deep hostility toward the free world and the states that take a strong and principled stance,” the minister stated.
The head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed support for his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, who had previously reacted sharply to provocations from the Russian Federation.
Kyiv stands in solidarity with its Italian partners and considers their firm response to the propaganda attacks to be entirely justified.
