The situation at the Chervonohradska Central Heating Plant threatens the heating season — MP

The shutdown of the Chervonohradska Central Enrichment Plant (CEP) poses critical risks to the operation of state-owned mines and preparations for the 2026–2027 heating season.

This was stated by Mykhailo Bondar, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament and chair of the relevant subcommittee on the coal industry.

The lawmaker noted that he has recently received numerous complaints from mining crews and labor unions in the Lviv-Volyn Basin.

The Central Coal Preparation Plant is a strategic facility without which the full-scale operation of the “Lvivvuhillia” and “Volynvuhillia” enterprises becomes technically impossible.

“In recent days, I have received many appeals from miners and trade unions regarding the situation in the Lviv-Volyn Basin. This concerns the Chervonohrad Central Enrichment Plant—an enterprise without which Lvivvuhillya and Volynvuhillya cannot operate normally. In fact, it is a key link in the entire process,” emphasized Mykhailo Bondar.

As of today, the plant has completely ceased production, leading to significant wage arrears for employees.

The deputy stressed that the cause of the crisis is not military action or a shortage of natural resources, but questionable management decisions.

There are reasonable suspicions of interference in the company’s operations by outside parties whose actions run counter to Ukraine’s national interests.

“Today, the factory is not operating, there are wage arrears, and the production process has been disrupted. And this is not about the war or a lack of resources. There is information about interference by outsiders and decisions being made against the state’s interests,” the MP stated.

As a reminder, Svyrydenko presented Ukraine’s recovery priorities to partners.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko declared 4.76 million hryvnias in income for 2025.

As a reminder, Svyrydenko stated that there will be no disaster with the state budget in April.

Svyrydenko also instructed officials to secure additional funds for road repairs.
