Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of widespread train delays due to a drone attack

Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of widespread train delays due to a drone attack

A massive attack by Russian drones on western regions of Ukraine on April 1 caused significant delays in rail service across the country.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the longest delays were recorded on trains heading to Odesa from Dnipro, Lviv, Rakhiv, and the Polish city of Przemyśl, where wait times exceeded 4–4.5 hours. The main causes of the disruptions were heightened security measures and forced service suspensions to minimize risks during Russian shelling.

Railway officials emphasize that schedule changes are being made in real time in accordance with new railway safety regulations. Passengers are warned of possible further train delays across the country due to the threat of new attacks by Russia. The situation at train stations is under control, and the current status of each train can be tracked on the carrier’s official resources. Currently, all services are working to restore stable service once the air raid alerts have ended.

During a massive attack by Russian kamikaze drones on western Ukraine on April 1, explosions were heard in Bukovel.

In the village of Lypcha in the Khust district, a drone was reported to have struck an electrical substation.
