Solomiya Vitvitskaya shared whether she plans to live in Kyiv after the birth of her child

Ukrainian TV host Solomiya Vitvitska, who is about to become a mother for the first time, spoke about her plans after the baby is born. In particular, she revealed whether she plans to stay in Kyiv with her baby.

“My decision is to stay in Kyiv for now, even though everyone is making such a big deal about winter that, well… I don’t know, they’re really hyping it up,” she noted.

The host added that this is a personal decision for everyone, since life can’t be put on hold, and it’s still unclear how long the war will last.

“I can’t say whether this is a conscious decision or not, but I understand that children and women need to stay behind—otherwise, who will our men be defending on the front lines? Not everyone can just pack up and leave at the same time. The city is still going on; we all support each other somehow. And these are such important moments that you can’t just cancel. You can’t stop life,” the host said.

Vitvitskaya also explained why she decided to stay in Kyiv from the very first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022:

“What kept me here back then was that I had a mission, a job—to spread information about what was happening in Ukraine. For me, that was such an important reason not to fall apart. And, in fact, that’s exactly why I stayed in Kyiv. Now, it’s the same issue.”

In addition, Vitvitskaya spoke about her husband, soldier Oleksiy Sytaylo.

“My husband was in Kyiv because he was transferred from the front lines first to the Ministry of Defense, and now he’s back with the Third Assault Brigade. He comes to Kyiv on business trips,” the host added.

She announced and explained her decision on the air on “Radio Culture.”

Solomiya Vitvitskaya married a soldier; the wedding was in the Ukrainian style.

Vitvitska, 46, spoke for the first time about how she unexpectedly found out she was pregnant.
