It has been announced where and when Stepan Kubiv will be buried
Ukrainian politician and public figure Stepan Kubiv will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv on May 20.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced this on Telegram, expressing his deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased and calling his death a great loss for the entire country and the city.
The farewell ceremony for the statesman will begin on Tuesday, May 19, with the arrival of the coffin at St. George’s Archcathedral, where a memorial service will be held in the evening.
The official funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, and after the liturgy in the cathedral, a procession will proceed to Lviv City Hall for a city-wide farewell, after which Kubiv will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
On the morning of May 18, Ukrainian MP Stepan Kubiv died suddenly. The circumstances of his death have not yet been clarified, and the details of the incident are being investigated.
