The "wanted" status for women in Reserve+ has been revoked and described as a mistake
The Ministry of Defense reported that the appearance of the "wanted" status for women in the "Reserve+" app was the result of a technical error, which has already been corrected.
The ministry explained that the incident occurred due to erroneous actions at one of the regional military registration and enlistment offices, where women were incorrectly registered for military service. A total of 32 such cases were identified.
All restrictions have already been lifted, and the “wanted” status was removed from the women two weeks ago. No fines were imposed, as there were no grounds for doing so.
The Ministry of Defense also noted that by the end of April, women who were mistakenly registered will be completely removed from the registry.
The ministry assured that it is changing its operational procedures to avoid similar situations in the future and minimize the impact of human error.
The entire staff of the Bucha Military Registration and Enlistment Office was sent to the front following a corruption scandal.
