Sternenko Lost the Court Case Against Attorney Shevchuk Regarding Honor and Dignity

The Primorsky District Court of Odessa ruled that the information provided by Serhiy Sternenko, a volunteer and former advisor to the Minister of Defense, regarding Oleksiy Shevchuk, the head of the National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine, is untrue. Thus, the well-known attorney prevailed in the case concerning honor and dignity.

According to the court’s decision, former Defense Minister adviser Serhiy Sternenko must pay Shevchuk one hryvnia in compensation.

At the same time, the lawyer noted that Serhiy Sternenko is a pathological liar and must be held accountable for his words.

Attorney Oleksiy Shevchuk shared this on Telegram.

As a reminder, in January 2026, lawyer Oleksiy Shevchuk publicly opposed the appointment of Serhiy Sternenko as an advisor to the Minister of Defense, demanding his dismissal due to pending criminal proceedings.

Shevchuk stated that an advisor to the Minister of Defense must have an impeccable reputation, since the Ministry of Defense is one of Ukraine’s key representatives on the international stage.

Later, Shevchuk alleged that certain Ukrainian bloggers and activists—specifically mentioning Serhiy Sternenko and Ihor Lachenkov—were plotting physical violence and an assassination attempt against him and his family.

In June, Oleksiy Shevchuk, a well-known attorney and head of the National Association of Lobbyists of Ukraine, issued a statement warning that the normal operations of the High Council of Justice were under threat due to the artificial blocking of the selection process by certain influential groups. According to him, certain entities acting as foreign agents are attempting to halt the work of the selection committee responsible for forming the new composition of the High Council of Justice under the parliamentary quota.

Recently, attorney Oleksiy Shevchuk announced the opening of yet another criminal case against People’s Deputy Mariana Bezugla, following a decision by the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv.
