Court sentences traitor who spied on the Pokrovsk direction
According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), a former FSB agent was sentenced to 15 years in prison with property confiscation. She had been detained in May this year in Donetsk Oblast on charges of treason.
The investigation found that she provided Russian forces with geolocations of defensive strongpoints and combat positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction, SBU reports.
The occupiers used the intelligence she supplied to plan drone attacks and ground operations during their offensive on the district center.
Court documents indicate that the 43-year-old woman from Myrnohrad was recruited by the enemy in December 2024 through TikTok, where her livestreams in dating chats were noticed.
After her recruitment, she evacuated her two children to the interior of Ukraine while she moved through the frontline zone, marking the positions of Ukrainian forces on Google Maps. She sent the collected data via messenger to a liaison fighter from Russian armed groups operating near Pokrovsk and working for the FSB.
Ukrainian counterintelligence exposed the agent at an early stage of her espionage activities and arrested her near the city, seizing her smartphone with evidence of FSB collaboration.
The SBU reports that the court found the agent guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine(treason committed under martial law).
