Video: A neighbor of the Kyiv shooter recalls meeting him
New details have emerged in Kyiv regarding the man who carried out the mass killing of six people.
This was reported by “Suspilne.”
One of the attacker’s neighbors, Mr. Volodymyr, shared his recollections of a disturbing encounter with the suspect, during which the latter openly displayed a weapon.
The Kyiv resident said that after a personal visit to the attacker’s home, he began to seriously fear for his own life. According to the witness, the atmosphere in the attacker’s home was tense, and the presence of ammunition in the living quarters was striking.
“I walked into his room, and there were about fifty rounds of ammunition and assault rifles on his windowsill. A pistol was lying there. And he said: ‘I have what I need to defend myself, I’m not afraid of anyone, I can kill whoever I want,’” Mr. Volodymyr recalled in a comment for the publication “Suspilne.”
The attacker’s words are now seen as a direct warning of the tragedy that followed. The eyewitness emphasizes that his neighbor’s aggressive rhetoric and display of firearms gave him a persistent sense of danger.
Despite clear signs of erratic behavior and the presence of an arsenal, the suspect remained under the radar of law enforcement for a long time.
