The court transferred the Russian businessman's apartment in Kyiv to ARMA

At the request of prosecutors from the Pechersk District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv, a luxury apartment in the “Klovsky” residential complex has been seized and transferred to the ARMA. Its beneficial owner is a Russian businessman who, according to the investigation, supplied Russian oil to Ukraine in circumvention of sanctions.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.

The property in question is nearly 200 square meters in size and has an estimated value of approximately $700,000; it was re-registered in the names of the businessman’s relatives to avoid seizure.

It has been established that the Russian businessman managed the operations of a number of companies involved in supplying petroleum products to Ukraine from manufacturing plants located in the Russian Federation. However, to circumvent sanctions, the companies used documents stating that the petroleum products belonged to firms registered in the United Arab Emirates.

In May 2023, the Russian businessman was added to the sanctions list by a decision of the National Security and Defense Council for his involvement in supporting Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, and personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) were imposed. These include the temporary deprivation of the right to use and dispose of assets belonging to a natural or legal person, as well as assets that the person controls through other natural or legal persons.

An independent external audit of effectiveness has begun at ARMA.

It was previously reported that the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) would investigate the winners of the auction for the sale of 460 hectares of land on the Borzhava Plateau in Zakarpattia Oblast, who turned out to be individuals associated with Serhiy Lyovochkin—a People’s Deputy from the Opposition Platform—For Life party and former head of the Presidential Administration under Viktor Yanukovych.

The Asset Recovery and Management Agency refused to sign the auction protocols in the “Prozorro.Sales” system regarding the sale of 460 hectares of land on the Borzhava mountain plateau.
