The court postponed the hearing in the case of Tetiana Krupa because her attorney failed to appear

The High Anti-Corruption Court has rescheduled the preliminary hearing in the case of Tetiana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Examination (MSEK), and her relatives for October 6.

The reason for the postponement was the lack of official confirmation that Tetyana Kostyuk’s attorney had been properly notified of the date and time of the hearing; as a result, the court granted the motion to postpone, finding no evidence of abuse of procedural rights.

At the same time, the High Anti-Corruption Court extended Tetiana Krupa’s procedural obligations for another two months—until December 5, 2026—including the obligation to inform the court of any change of residence and to surrender her passports for travel abroad. As part of the proceedings, the former head of the Medical and Social Examination Commission is accused of providing false information in her declarations, illegal enrichment, and money laundering, while her husband and son are charged with aiding and abetting and making false declarations. The next hearing will begin with consideration of a motion to change the preventive measure.

Tetyana Krupa and her son Oleksandr were involved in issuing fake disability certificates for men trying to avoid military service. That’s how they got rich. When law enforcement officers arrived to conduct searches, the woman attempted to throw two bags containing half a million dollars out the window, but she was unable to do so.

Earlier, the High Anti-Corruption Court denied a motion filed by the lawyers representing the family of Tetyana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Examination Commission (MSEK), to recuse Judge Denys Kovalenko, who had been assigned to hear the high-profile case. The defense team complained about Judge Kovalenko, claiming that he had allegedly restricted their procedural rights.

As a reminder, Tetyana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Medical and Social Expertise, who is suspected of illicit enrichment, filed her 2025 financial disclosure statement. Despite being under investigation and the high-profile nature of the case, the document shows a further increase in her family’s wealth.

Krupa is free to move about the country—the court extended her release on bail for two months.

Krupa, the controversial former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Examination Center, declared millions in cash.
