Taiwan has donated 68 rescue vehicles to Ukraine
This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
“In Lviv, 68 rescue vehicles were handed over to communities in eastern, southern, and central Ukraine, which have been hardest hit by the war. These include fire trucks, ambulances, and specialized vehicles that will help respond quickly to emergencies and save the lives of Ukrainians. Lviv served as the coordination hub for this humanitarian initiative, implemented with the support of the Taiwanese people. The Lviv City Council and the City Institute organized the handover on the Ukrainian side,” the post states.
It is reported that the donated vehicles will be used in communities that face the consequences of Russian aggression on a daily basis. The vehicles will be used for firefighting, responding to the effects of shelling, evacuating civilians, medical missions, and rescuing people in emergencies.
“We will transfer the vehicles to communities in Kharkiv, specifically Kupiansk. Some of the vehicles will also be sent to the Sumy and Donetsk regions. As early as today, they will be deployed to various locations and will be able to fulfill their roles. This is very important assistance for Ukrainians, as it helps maintain resilience. Even the example of Lviv shows that the enemy can attack various locations simultaneously. In frontline regions, this happens almost daily. Such assistance from the Taiwanese people will enable various services to respond in a timely and effective manner,” noted Andriy Moskalenko, First Deputy Mayor of Lviv.
Previously, Taiwan allocated nearly $56 million to Ukraine for the restoration of Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
Taiwan has provided Ukraine with 800 Revolver 860 short-range bomber drones.
