In Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, law enforcement officers detained two young men suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack near a private home.
This was reported by the National Police and the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The explosion occurred on April 13 at approximately 10:08 p.m., injuring a man. He was treated at the scene and refused hospitalization.
According to the investigation, a 23-year-old resident of Brovary and a 17-year-old resident of Chernivtsi Oblast are involved in the crime. One of them was detained while attempting to leave the country in Vinnytsia Oblast.
Law enforcement officials established that the suspects acted on the instructions of Russian special services in exchange for monetary compensation: one planted the explosives, while the other provided surveillance via a mobile phone.
During the searches, phones, SIM cards, components of an explosive device, and electric detonators were seized.
