An investigation has been launched at Artek in Transcarpathia following complaints about the children's living conditions

The Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity has initiated an inspection of the “Artek” children’s center in Zakarpattia following the public release of complaints and photographs regarding the conditions in which the children are staying. The inspection is being conducted by the National Social Service of Ukraine.

Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denys Ulyutin noted that “Artek” is a state-run institution participating in a children’s health program funded by the state budget. For this reason, the ministry will monitor the quality of services provided.

Previously, parents of children from the town of Vyshneve in the Kyiv region complained about inadequate living conditions at the camp. They posted photos of the rooms on social media and reported unsanitary conditions and other problems during their children’s stay.
