The owner of a Luhansk-based company was detained in Dnipro for collaborating with the occupiers
In Dnipro, law enforcement officials detained the owner of a Luhansk-based real estate company who is suspected of aiding an aggressor state by leasing property to the occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied territory.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to the investigation, after the occupation of Luhansk in 2014, the man left for territory controlled by Ukraine but continued to manage his business remotely through a trusted representative left in the city.
Subsequently, in 2023, the suspect’s company was re-registered under Russian legislation. Following this procedure, part of the company’s real estate was leased to representatives of the occupying authorities, specifically the so-called LPR Pension Fund. According to law enforcement agencies, the rent for the premises amounted to approximately 300,000 Russian rubles per month. Investigators calculated that since 2024, the participants in this scheme have received over 6 million rubles in illicit income.
The businessman has now been officially notified of suspicion of aiding an aggressor state; he was detained in the city of Dnipro and taken into custody as a preventive measure. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigation to identify other individuals who may have been involved in this scheme.
As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine detained another agent in Mykolaiv who was working for Russia. This individual is a repeat offender who passed information about the location of the Defense Forces to the enemy.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine issued an in absentia notice of suspicion against Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev, who is believed to be involved in supporting the war against Ukraine.
In Dnipro and Odesa, Russian agents who were setting fires in the cities were exposed.
