The government has allocated an additional 12 million hryvnias for the repair of buildings in Ternopil following the Russian attack
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated 12.4 million hryvnias from the state budget reserve fund to complete emergency repair work in Ternopil.
This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
The funding is intended for the restoration of social and residential infrastructure facilities damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
The Ternopil Regional Military Administration has been designated as the primary administrator of these funds.
The allocated funds will allow for the completion of large-scale restoration work that was started earlier. According to the Ministry of Economy, the repair work could not be fully completed in 2025.
The main reasons for the delay were strict budget period deadlines, unfavorable weather conditions, and lengthy procurement tender procedures.
State aid will cover both the repair of the housing stock and the reconstruction of the city’s educational infrastructure.
“The funding will allow for the replacement of windows in residential buildings, the repair of common areas and in-building heating and electricity networks, the overhaul of an elevator in a residential building, as well as the restoration of landscaping elements at Primary School No. 2,” the ministry officially stated.
