A man died in Drohobych after falling from an attic; an acquaintance is suspected
In Drohobych, a 50-year-old man died after falling from the attic of an abandoned building. According to preliminary findings, he may have been pushed by a 51-year-old acquaintance during an argument.
Law enforcement officials are investigating all the circumstances of the tragedy and determining the details of the conflict that preceded the fall.
The incident occurred on August 15 at around 10:00 p.m. on Ivasyuka Street. According to preliminary findings from the investigation, a 51-year-old resident of the Drohobych district and her 50-year-old acquaintance from the Sambir district were in the attic of the abandoned building.
Both were intoxicated. A verbal argument broke out between them, during which, according to law enforcement, the woman pushed the man with both hands. He lost his balance, fell through the open attic door, and landed on the ground near the house. The man sustained multiple severe injuries, which resulted in his death.

Operatives and investigators from the Drohobych District Police Department established the circumstances of the incident. The woman was notified that she is suspected of violating Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional infliction of serious bodily injury resulting in the victim’s death.
The penalty under this article ranges from seven to ten years of imprisonment. The pretrial investigation is ongoing.
