A brown bear was captured on camera traps in the Carpathians
In the Carpathian National Nature Park, camera traps captured a brown bear wandering through the forest. The photos were taken as the bear moved through the park.
This was reported by the Carpathian National Park.
“The brown bear is a true symbol of wildlife and the unspoken ruler of the Carpathians, who was captured on camera during his stroll. His gait is a combination of unhurriedness and deliberation. Despite weighing up to hundreds of kilograms, the bear treads on the forest floor almost silently,” the statement reads.
At the same time, the national park noted that the bear appears calm and focused in the footage, which is a good sign of a healthy ecosystem.
According to park officials, such footage allows for the observation of wild animals in their natural habitat without human interference.
The brown bear plays an important role in nature. In particular, it disperses plant seeds when feeding on berries and fruits, which contributes to forest regeneration.
After hibernation, bears become more active as they search for food and regain their strength.
The Carpathian National Park reminds visitors of the need to follow safety rules while in the mountains and urges them not to disturb wild animals.
