Temperatures have dropped sharply in the Carpathians: it’s only +2°C on Mount Pip Ivan

A sharp drop in temperature has been recorded in the Carpathians. On the morning of July 10, temperatures on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirskyi dropped to +2°C.

According to mountain rescue teams, the summit is currently experiencing cloud cover and thick fog, as well as a westerly wind blowing at 2 m/s. As recently as early July, temperatures here reached +13...+15°C.

Forecasters predict that on July 10, the Carpathian region will be cloudy with some sunny intervals, with brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. In the highlands, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +8 to +13°C, and nighttime temperatures from +3 to +8°C.
