In Khotyanivka, a drunk driver struck an 81-year-old woman and crashed into a supermarket
In the village of Khotianivka in the Kyiv region, a 48-year-old woman driving a Smart car while intoxicated struck an 81-year-old woman and then crashed into the front of a supermarket.
According to police, the victim was hospitalized with injuries. A breathalyzer test showed the driver had a blood alcohol level of 2.20 per mille, which is 11 times the legal limit.
The woman was detained, and investigators opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces up to three years in prison and the revocation of her driver’s license.
