A man who took a 13-year-old girl hostage while fleeing from the TCC was arrested in Lviv
A court in Lviv has ordered pretrial detention without bail for a man suspected of unlawfully depriving a minor of her liberty.
The incident occurred on May 9.
According to law enforcement officials, upon seeing TCC servicemen and police officers, the man began to flee. During his escape, he threatened a 13-year-old girl with a knife, held her close to him, and gripped her neck with his hand.
Law enforcement officers, together with TCC soldiers, detained the attacker and freed the child. The girl was unharmed.
The detainee was a 43-year-old resident of Lviv, previously convicted of property crimes.
He was notified of his status as a suspect under the article on unlawful deprivation of liberty or kidnapping. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
