In Lviv, blogger Gavryliv threw a lighter at a teenager's head
In Lviv, law enforcement officials have opened a criminal investigation into an incident involving 22-year-old blogger Andriy Havryliv and a 13-year-old teenager. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Police.
According to the investigation, a 40-year-old resident of the Lviv district contacted the police, stating that her son had sustained bodily injuries at a restaurant. It has been preliminarily established that during a verbal altercation with a group of teenagers, the 22-year-old Lviv resident threw a lighter, causing the child to sustain injuries.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional infliction of minor bodily injury). A pretrial investigation is currently underway; a forensic medical examination has been ordered, and the necessary investigative measures are being carried out.
It later emerged that the individual in question is Lviv-based blogger Andriy Havryliv. In a comment to Lviv.Media, he confirmed his involvement in the incident but denied throwing the lighter at the teenager’s head.
According to the blogger, the conflict arose after a group of boys began insulting him. Gavryliv claims that he threw the plastic lighter not at the child but at a table, and suggests that the teenager may have been injured under different circumstances.
The blogger also stated that after the incident, he purchased medication for the victim and suggested that the accounts of those involved in the conflict may differ from his version of events.
