monobank has introduced a feature that allows users to block unwanted transfers
A new feature has been added to the monobank mobile banking app that allows users to block specific people so they cannot send them money or leave comments on transfers.
Oleg Gorokhovsky, the bank’s co-founder, announced this on July 28. According to him, this decision was made following numerous complaints from customers who reported receiving unwanted messages along with their bank transfers.
In particular, some users reported that former partners or other unwanted contacts were trying to reach them through the money transfer feature in the banking app.
“That’s why we’re introducing a new feature—block an ex,” Gorokhovsky wrote.
At the same time, he clarified that the blocking feature isn’t intended solely for such cases. Users can block transfers from anyone if their payments or comments on them are unwanted.
To use this feature, open the details of a specific transfer in the app and select “Block Sender.”
Gorokhovsky also urged customers not to abuse the new feature, noting that few people are willing to spend money just to leave a message for another user.

As a reminder, Monobank will introduce a fee for top-ups via EasyPay.
Starting June 10, all international SWIFT payments through Monobank will be completely free for regular users and businesses. This change applies to both incoming and outgoing money transfers.
