In Novi Petrivtsi, a truck struck and killed a pedestrian at a crosswalk

A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Vyshhorod district, where a 66-year-old man was killed after being struck by a DAF truck. 

This was reported by the Kyiv Region Police Press Service. 

According to preliminary data, the 67-year-old driver struck the victim as he was crossing the road at an unregulated crosswalk. The injuries were fatal, and the pedestrian died at the scene before medical personnel arrived. 

Investigators from the Kyiv Regional Police have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of traffic safety rules that led to the death of a person. Law enforcement officials are currently establishing all the circumstances of the tragedy, and the driver faces charges under the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The police are urging drivers to be as attentive as possible, especially when approaching pedestrian crossings.

A judge of the Pidhaetsky District Court in Ternopil Oblast will stand trial for a fatal traffic accident that occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.

In Chernihiv Oblast, eight people were injured in a traffic accident.

Additionally, in Rivne Oblast, road workers were charged in connection with a traffic accident that left three people dead.
