A verbal altercation broke out during People’s Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko’s speech in the Verkhovna Rada regarding the draft law on cyber forces. Deputy Mariana Bezuhla accused Fedienko of making false statements. The situation escalated into a scuffle during the discussion of the bill.
This was reported with reference to the broadcast of the parliamentary session.
Scuffle in Parliament
MP Mariana Bezuhla rushed to the podium in the Rada and began to interrupt Fedienko’s speech, shouting accusations of lying. Parliament Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk intervened in the situation, urging the MP to return to her seat.
Bezugla’s statement
“I am not against cyber forces; I am against the creation of yet another Syrsky headquarters under a nice-sounding name, where if you don’t do what he wants, you’ll end up in the infantry. Is this really what cyber experts are striving for?” the MP emphasized.
Bezugla stressed that she apologized for violating the rules of procedure.
Fedyenko on Bill No. 12349
Meanwhile, Fedienko posted a video of his speech and noted that “the only person blocking the adoption of the cyber forces bill couldn’t control her emotions.”
In particular, the deputy emphasized that the bill concerns military personnel who carry out combat missions in cyberspace every day but still lack full legal status, clear operating rules, adequate capabilities, and protection.
“We have no right to turn parliament into a tool for blackmail when it comes to national defense. Every day of delay is not just a procedural matter. It limits the capabilities of those who are already fighting for Ukraine in cyberspace today,” the MP wrote.
MP Bezuhlaannounced a blockade of the Verkhovna Rada and is demanding Syrsky’s dismissal.
Earlier, “Servant of the People” MP Mariana Bezuhla reported that the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, had blocked her on WhatsApp.
Earlier, “Servant of the People” MP Mariana Bezuhla advised Kyiv residents to consider temporarily relocating for the fall and winter. She warned that the Russians might attempt to completely paralyze the capital by striking critical infrastructure.
MP Mariana Bezuhla also stated that the Dobropillia counteroffensive allegedly does not exist. She once again criticized Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
