A one-year-old boy drowned in a frame pool in Rivne
A tragedy occurred in Rivne on August 4—a boy aged 1 year and 7 months drowned in a frame pool. Despite resuscitation efforts, the child could not be saved.
According to preliminary reports, around 6:00 p.m., the child climbed a ladder into a frame pool approximately 150 centimeters high and fell into the water. A short time later, the father began searching for his son, found him in the pool, and called an ambulance.
Medical personnel performed resuscitation efforts on the way to the hospital, but they were unable to save the boy.
A pre-trial investigation into the accident is ongoing.
The police urged parents not to leave young children unattended near bodies of water, swimming pools, and other potentially dangerous places, emphasizing that such carelessness can cost a life.

As a reminder, in the Sarny District of the Rivne Region, a two-year-old boy tragically died after drowning in an artificial pond near his grandfather’s house. The police have launched a pre-trial investigation.
