Assets worth over 20 million hryvnias were found in the home of a tax official from Volyn

Journalists from "Slidstvo.Info" have uncovered real estate and other assets worth a total of over 20 million hryvnias belonging to the family of Volodymyr Poberizhny, head of the Lutsk Division of the Western Interregional Directorate of the State Tax Service.

According to the investigation, between 2025 and 2026 alone, the official’s wife and his 21-year-old student son acquired assets worth nearly 12 million hryvnias. Among the purchases were apartments, commercial spaces, parking spots in Lviv and Lutsk, as well as a new 2025 Volkswagen.

In particular, the tax official’s son, Valerii Poberizhnyi, became the owner of several properties in a business-class residential complex in the center of Lviv, as well as a commercial space and parking spots in Lutsk. The total value of this property is estimated at approximately 7 million UAH.

The official’s wife, Viktoria Poberizhna, purchased real estate and a car worth nearly 5 million hryvnias in 2026 alone. At the same time, she declared 4.7 million hryvnias in income from entrepreneurial activities in the fitness services sector.

In addition, the tax official’s mother became the owner of an apartment in a premium-class residential complex in Lutsk in 2024, while Volodymyr Poberizhny himself owns a townhouse near the city and an apartment in the center of Lutsk.

Journalists also noted that Poberizhny is a figure in criminal proceedings regarding an alleged tax evasion scheme, which, according to investigators, has been in operation since 2021. The official himself did not respond to journalists’ inquiries.
