A square named after Andriy Parubiy will be established in the center of Lviv — Sadovyi

The city of Lviv has decided to name a square in the city center after Hero of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy.

This was announced by Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.

The decision was approved on April 30 during a session of the Lviv City Council. The square will be located on a section of Vynnychenko Street—from Prosvity Street to the beginning of Lychakivska Street.

The new location will include the “Na Valakh” park, where the monument to Vyacheslav Chornovil is located, as well as the buildings of the regional administration and the regional council.

The city council noted that the decision was approved by all relevant committees and was also supported by Andriy Parubiy’s family.

As a reminder, the family of the murdered Parubiyis demanding 15 million hryvnias in moral damages.
