Ukraine has received a large shipment of ALTO NG aircraft

UA NEWS 25 June 2026 13:53
Ukraine has received a large shipment of ALTO NG aircraft

On June 25, Ukraine received ten ALTO NG training aircraft, donated by the Air Force Capabilities Coalition with the support of the Czech government and the Dárek pro Putina charitable foundation. The aircraft will be used to train pilots of the Ukrainian Air Force.

It is noted that the arrival of these light aircraft will make it possible to establish a full-fledged training base within the country, drastically reduce the cost per flight hour compared to combat aircraft, and accelerate the transition of Ukrainian pilots to sophisticated Western aircraft meeting NATO standards.

The ALTO NG aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing future pilots to effectively practice basic and critically important military skills, including mastering control techniques in various conditions, navigating takeoff and landing procedures, and transitioning to modern Western fighter jets.

This training approach significantly enhances pilots’ combat readiness and makes air defense simpler, more modern, and more effective.

The transfer of aircraft took place as part of an international solidarity effort: five aircraft were provided with direct support from the Czech government, and another five were donated by Czech citizens through the well-known charity Dárek pro Putina.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

French Rafale fighter jets, which are carrying out missions as part of NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission, intercepted six Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea. The incident occurred on June 2 during a routine patrol of the Baltic states’ airspace.

French military aircraft took to the air at least 11 times over the past week as part of the NATO mission to patrol the airspace over the Baltic states in order to intercept Russian aircraft.
