An armored capsule has been developed in Ukraine to reinforce forward positions and protect troops on the front lines. It can accommodate up to ten soldiers and provides a full view of the surrounding area. The design has already been presented at an international defense exhibition in France.
The design was created by PARABELLA, a company specializing in engineering solutions for fortifications. The design incorporates 16-millimeter-thick three-layer armored steel, as well as additional metal screens designed to protect against cumulative munitions.
Inside, the capsule has enough space to accommodate up to ten armed soldiers at once, allowing it to be used as a temporary command post or firing position. The design provides all-around protection and 360-degree visibility, making it possible to monitor the situation around the position without leaving cover.
Experts note that the concept of such fortifications is not entirely new, as prefabricated armored structures for field positions—including the so-called BUK, VSB, and SPS—already existed during the Soviet era. Such solutions were used to rapidly establish protected firing positions and command posts in field conditions.
More modern equivalents, which were already used during combat operations in eastern Ukraine, are also mentioned separately—specifically, MVS-2-type fortifications, which were installed to defend Mariupol. According to the engineers’ vision, the new designs are intended to be more technologically advanced and adapted to modern warfare, where artillery, drones, and high-precision weapons play a key role.
The company emphasizes that the main goal of such systems is not only to protect personnel but also to enhance the resilience of defensive positions, which can be rapidly deployed in the field and ensure the long-term holding of lines under enemy fire. This was reported by“Military.”
