Ukraine and Germany have agreed to jointly manufacture BARS drones
On the sidelines of the NATO summit on July 8, Ukraine and Germany signed an agreement to implement a joint project to produce BARS unmanned aerial vehicles. The initiative aims to expand defense cooperation between the two countries and strengthen the capabilities of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex.
The agreement was signed by Sibiga and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
The Ukrainian minister said that the agreement was concluded as a result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the German Federal Ministry of Defense as part of the “Build with Ukraine” initiative.
“In the first phase of the project, the German side will finance the production of UAVs, and all manufactured equipment will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he added.
