Ukraine's Detal-Impex Unveils a Line of Ammunition for Drones

Ukrainian components manufacturer “Detal-Impex” has expanded its line of munitions for unmanned systems by introducing new 1.5- and 10-kilogram munitions.

The developers announced this during the Brave1 Advantage industry event, emphasizing the importance of scaling up production to meet the needs of the front lines.

The first new product is the OBD05 fragmentation munition, nicknamed “Ogirok” (Cucumber). It weighs 1.5 kg, contains 200 grams of explosive, and is equipped with a contact fuse for effectively engaging enemy personnel.

The company deliberately designed this product to be compact to ensure compatibility with a wide range of drone models.

This approach allows for a significant increase in the density of strikes against the occupiers’ positions, while simultaneously reducing the production cost of each unit for mass production.

The second prototype presented—the OFB1 high-explosive fragmentation munition—is a significantly more powerful weapon.

It weighs up to 10 kg, of which 1.6 kg is explosive material, and the design includes two detonator options.

Thanks to its increased mass, this munition provides a significant area of effect against concentrations of enemy troops.

The use of a delayed-action fuse allows for the effective destruction of fortifications and bunkers, as detonation occurs only after the protective layer of the structure has been penetrated.

The development is currently undergoing the codification phase, which is necessary for centralized supply to Defense Forces units. Despite this process, the manufacturer is already conducting active combat testing of the products under real-world conditions.

“While the codification process required for the centralized supply of ammunition to the military is underway, we are conducting active combat testing, so we invite all interested units to request free samples today,” said Darina Kirpach, head of the project management department.

In addition to the new products presented, the company continues serial production and supply of the 3-kilogram OB-D1 “Kukurudza” fragmentation munitions.

This product has already been codified, contains 0.6 kg of explosive, and features two design variants of the detonators.
