Ukrainian defense companies have secured nearly 10 billion hryvnia in preferential loans

Ukrainian arms manufacturers have secured 9.8 billion hryvnia in preferential financing under government support programs. In total, companies in the defense-industrial complex have entered into 162 loan agreements.

This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to her, defense companies can receive up to 500 million hryvnias in loans with terms of up to five years to develop production, as well as up to 100 million hryvnias for a term of up to three years to replenish working capital.

The funds raised are directed toward the development, production, repair, modernization, and disposal of weapons, military equipment, ammunition, and their components.

Svyrydenko emphasized that state support contributes to expanding the production capabilities of Ukraine’s defense sector and helps meet the needs of the Armed Forces with modern weapons and equipment.

Previously, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved the “Nebokray” mobile workshops for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The system is designed for the repair and maintenance of drones.

The Ministry of Defense has certified and authorized the use of the new “General Chereshnya” FPV unmanned aerial system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense has standardized and approved for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine a new Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial system, the V-1. These ultra-light bombers are designed to strike concentrations of personnel, vehicles, and armored equipment.
