Ukrainians have chosen a stamp design for Independence Day
Voting on the “Diya” app for a postage stamp dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day has concluded. The winning design is titled “Stork. Freedom.”
Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Bornyakov announced this on Telegram.
“328,788 Ukrainians cast their votes in the Diya app for the national Independence Day stamp. The winning design was ‘Stork. Freedom,’ which received 103,279 votes,” the message reads.
This year’s stamp is dedicated to those who have been enslaved, those missing in action, and their families—to those who wait every day for the most important reunion: their return home.
The other designs received the following results:
- “Herald of Goodness” — 61,112 votes;
- “The Most Longed-For Embrace” — 45,473 votes;
- “The Heart of the Family” — 36,874 votes;
- “Embroidered Hope” — 36,218 votes;
- “Countdown to Our Meeting” – 29,342 votes;
- “Jesus” – 16,490 votes.
Voting lasted until June 24.
