Ukrainians have been warned about the risk of losing their benefits under the e-Recovery program

Owners of non-privatized housing or real estate whose rights are not recorded in the State Register of Property Rights may not receive compensation under the "e-Recovery" program if their home is destroyed as a result of the war.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, the problem primarily concerns housing registered before 2013. Information about such properties is often stored only in the paper archives of the Bureau of Technical Inventory (BTI) and is missing from electronic state registries.

The Ministry of Development emphasizes that once a home is completely destroyed, it can no longer be privatized. If ownership is not confirmed in the state registry, it will not be possible to receive compensation under the “e-Restoration” program.

Ukrainians are advised to check the status of their documents in advance at the Administrative Service Center or through a notary and, if necessary, complete the privatization and state registration of the property.

According to government data, since the program began, 160 families who lost their homes in the temporarily occupied territories have already purchased new homes using “e-Restoration” housing certificates.

In the Kyiv region, an official was detained for extorting half of the “e-Restoration” compensation.

Kyiv police dismantled an interregional cocaine distribution network worth 8 million hryvnias.
