A powerful geomagnetic storm hit Ukraine on June 4
After several days of low geomagnetic activity, a powerful magnetic storm hit Ukraine. According to Meteoagent, its intensity reached 6 on June 4, and is expected to increase to 7 on June 5.
Geomagnetic activity is forecast to begin declining on June 6 and drop to 4 on the scale.
According to Meteoprog, 10 C-, M-, and X-class solar flares were recorded on the Sun over the past 24 hours. Also, on June 4, there is a 50% probability of new M-class flares occurring. The probability of more powerful X-class flares is estimated at 1%. Currently, about 70 sunspots are observed on the Sun’s surface.
Experts note that X-class flares are the most powerful. If they are directed toward Earth, they can cause severe geomagnetic storms capable of disrupting the operation of satellites, communication systems, and energy infrastructure.

During magnetic storms, some people may experience headaches, dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, fluctuations in blood pressure, joint pain, or exacerbations of chronic conditions.
To minimize potential negative effects, doctors recommend maintaining a regular sleep schedule, drinking plenty of water, spending more time outdoors, avoiding excessive physical exertion, and limiting alcohol, cigarettes, and excessive caffeine intake.
