Ukrposhta Under Fire: Three Vehicles Destroyed in Drone Attacks

Throughout the day, Russian drones attacked Ukrposhta vehicles in Zaporizhzhia and Nikopol, injuring a driver and destroying several company vehicles. The company confirmed the losses and reported on the consequences of the attacks.

On June 16, Russian drones attacked Ukrposhta JSC vehicles several times in various regions, causing losses to both equipment and personnel. As a result of one of the strikes in the Zaporizhzhia region, the driver of a company vehicle was injured.

According to the company’s CEO, Ihor Smilianskyi, during the attack in Zaporizhzhia, the security guard’s swift and coordinated actions made it possible to promptly provide first aid to the victim and move the vehicle to a safe area. The injured driver is currently in the hospital and receiving the necessary treatment.

Separately, two more Ukrposhta vehicles were destroyed while being loaded in Nikopol; however, the employees managed to take cover in time, so none of them were injured. The company notes that this helped prevent additional casualties, despite the intensity of the shelling.

According to official data, since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukrposhta has lost 425 vehicles, which has significantly impacted logistics and service operations in frontline and high-risk regions.

Ukrposhta’s management reports that, based on the experience gained, additional safety measures are already being implemented to reduce risks during transportation in high-risk areas. These include route changes, enhanced coordination with local authorities, and adapting logistics processes to conditions of constant threat. The company emphasizes that despite regular attacks, it continues to fulfill its functions, ensuring the delivery of mail and basic services even under the difficult conditions of war. This was announced on Telegram by the company’s CEO, Ihor Smiliansky,

The Moscow oil refinery, which was attacked overnight, controls one-third of the Russian capital’s fuel market.

Russian KABs struck the Zaporizhzhia region; there are casualties.
