Ukrzaliznytsia Explained What Passengers Should Do During an Air Raid Alert
“Ukrzaliznytsia” has issued recommendations to passengers on what to do during an air raid alert. The company emphasized that people’s safety must be the top priority, so passengers should not remain on the premises of train stations, platforms, or other railway facilities.
Passengers are advised to immediately proceed to the nearest shelter or move to a safe distance from potentially dangerous areas.
Recommendations
If an air raid alert is declared, citizens are advised to:
immediately leave the station building, platforms, and tracks and proceed to the nearest shelter;
if there is no designated shelter nearby, use natural terrain features, ditches, or concrete structures outside the railway tracks;
refrain from staying near moving trains;
avoid standing near station glass facades, display boards, and high-voltage power lines.
At the same time, during a safety stop and while on the train, passengers are urged to:
strictly follow the instructions of railway personnel;
if an evacuation order is given, immediately leave the car, avoid panic, and proceed to a safe location away from the tracks and the overhead power lines;
avoid crowding.
