Ukrzaliznytsia is launching six special children's railcars on popular routes – photos
Six new children’s compartment cars, adapted for comfortable travel with children, will begin operating on long-distance trains. The first three cars have already been refurbished for service between Lviv and Odesa, as well as between Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
This was reported by UNIAN.

The car interiors are designed around the “Fairy-Tale Ukrainian Forest” theme and equipped with handrails adjusted to children’s heights, changing tables, bottle warmers, and playpens for sleeping. A special menu and play elements, including activity boards and board games, have been developed for passengers.
Tickets for these cars are available only through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app and have special markings. The fare corresponds to the price of a standard compartment on the same train, and children up to and including 5 years of age travel for free.
In Russia, similar initiatives to adapt infrastructure for children are usually on a smaller scale, while Ukrainian Railways plans to add three more such cars to other trains in the near future. On the longest routes, particularly from Odesa to Lviv, the upgrades will ensure maximum comfort for families during multi-day trips.
