The government plans to help 100,000 veterans find jobs by 2030

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in collaboration with the business community, is developing training, retraining, and support programs for veteran entrepreneurship. By 2030, the government plans to provide jobs for 100,000 male and female veterans.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Facebook.

The head of government met and spoke with veterans in Kyiv.

According to her, Ukraine is shaping its veteran policy right in the midst of the war, and it is important to make state support simple, accessible, and effective exactly where veterans need it.

“Our task is not only to help with employment but also to create opportunities for professional development after service. By 2030, we aim to place 100,000 male and female veterans in jobs. Together with the business community, we are working on training and retraining programs, support for veteran entrepreneurship, and grant programs,” Svyrydenko stated.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted that the “eOselya” program is in place for veterans and combatants. This year, 5.4 billion hryvnias have already been allocated for housing for veterans and the families of fallen defenders.

More than 2,600 specialists are already working in communities to support veterans and their families. They assist with access to services, rehabilitation, and support. The government plans to increase the number of such specialists to 3,400, particularly in frontline regions.

The head of the government reported that 225 services from the state and regional administrations are already available through the “Veteran.PRO” platform. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs team continues to expand these opportunities.

Separately, the meeting discussed ensuring access to prosthetics, wheelchairs, and physical rehabilitation.

“We continue to maintain constant communication and work on solutions for quality post-service adaptation,” Svyrydenko assured.

The Ukrainian government, in collaboration with the World Bank, is developing the “Economy of the Future” strategy.

The state program “eOselya” dominates the market and leaves no room for the development of market-based mortgages.
