The government plans to expand the "e-Nursery" program to include female sole proprietors – Svyrydenko

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated that the government is considering extending the "e-Nursery" program to women who are sole proprietors. At the same time, she noted that before adopting the relevant changes, it is necessary to address a number of caveats and technical details regarding the implementation of the initiative.

“The businesses we meet with on a daily basis raise issues regarding staffing and the more active involvement of women in the labor market. It is clear that the ‘e-Nursery’ program is one that allows women to enter the workforce and support themselves. We are ready to consider expanding this program to include individual entrepreneurs. And together with the Minister of Social Policy, we are concerned about establishing an anti-fraud system right away to prevent abuse by those sole proprietors who have never provided these types of services and who could simply take advantage of such changes,” Svyrydenko said during “Question Time” in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday.

As reported, in February, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax, and customs policy, Danylo Getmantsev, appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers to amend the resolution governing the “eYasla” program to include mothers who are individual entrepreneurs (FOPs) to the list of aid recipients.

The “eYasla” program began operations on January 1, 2026. It provides monthly assistance to parents of children aged 1 to 3 who return to full-time work. The payment amount will be 8,000 UAH, and 12,000 UAH for children with disabilities. The funds can be used to pay for child care and development services: nannies, private or public institutions, clubs, etc.

Earlier, Svyrydenko named the most promising professions after the war.

Svyrydenko also denied rumors about the dismissal of Education Minister Lisovyi.
