The UCEQA responded to Yanovich's photo showing the NMT results

The UCEQA responded to Yanovich's photo showing the NMT results

TV host and actor Yevhen Yanovych posted a photo of his NMT results on social media, taken after the test in the exam room, which sparked a debate about the rules. The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment stated that such behavior is inappropriate.

Ukrainian actor, host, and co-founder of the Mamahikhotala studio, Yevgen Yanovich, took the National Multidisciplinary Test in 2026 and decided to share his results on the social media platform Threads; however, the routine post quickly turned into a discussion about the rules governing the test.

Yanovych wrote that he scored 160 on Ukrainian, 163 on math, 169 on history, and 172 on geography, adding that he spent the most time on math and finished history the fastest, which immediately sparked a reaction from users.

The reason for the debate was that he also posted a photo of his results, taken with his cell phone right in the temporary testing center after finishing the exam, and some commenters pointed out that using a phone under such conditions is usually prohibited. Yanovych himself explained the situation simply: “I finished the test, took out my phone, and snapped a picture of the computer screen,” but this did not dispel questions from some of the audience regarding the exam rules.

The Interfax-Ukraine news agency reached out to the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA) for comment, where UCEQA Director Tetiana Vakulenko briefly addressed the situation, saying: “This is not okay. But I think the exam center staff knew Mr. Yevhen, so they couldn’t resist his fame and charm and allowed him to use his phone after the exam was over.”

The center emphasizes that testing rules remain the same for all participants, and any actions in the exam room after the test ends must comply with established procedures, even when it comes to public figures.

Ukraine has changed the rules for applying for educational benefits for children of veterans; now, in many cases, an extract from the state registry—which has the same legal force—can be submitted in place of a paper UBD certificate.
